Browser Extensions & Local-First Tools

1. No Data Collection: Our browser extensions and local-first tools do not operate any backend servers that collect, process, or store your personal data. All extension data (including chat folders, bookmarks, prompt library, settings, and custom configurations) is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (e.g., chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device.

These tools do not collect:

  • Chat conversation content.
  • Personally identifiable information.
  • Browsing history or activity on third-party sites (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude).
  • API keys in plain text.

The only exception is when you use optional features that integrate third-party AI APIs, where prompt or input text is sent directly by your browser to your chosen AI provider as configured by you.

2. Third-Party AI API Integration: Some of our tools may include optional features that integrate with third-party AI services. These features only activate when you explicitly trigger them and have configured your own API keys in the settings.

  • What data is processed: When using these features, the text or prompt content currently entered or submitted is temporarily transmitted to your selected third-party AI provider for the purpose of processing, generating, or refining content.
  • Who receives the data: Depending on the provider you select in the settings, the text is sent directly from your browser to one of the following third-party services:
  • API Keys: We do not collect, store, or transmit your API keys to our own servers. Your API keys are stored locally on your device (using encryption, such as AES-256 via the browser's native WebCrypto API, where applicable) and are sent directly from your browser to the chosen AI provider's servers.
  • No Retention: Our tools do not see, log, or retain any prompt text or API keys. All communication is directly between your browser and the third-party AI provider using your own API credentials. If you do not use these features, no prompt data is ever transmitted anywhere.

Cookies

What are cookies? Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your computer by a website. We use them to track your use of our site and recognize you when you return.

Types of cookies we use:

  • Session Cookies: These are temporary and disappear when you leave the site. They help identify your visit.
  • Persistent Cookies: These stay on your computer until you delete them. They allow us to recognize you when you return to our site, so you don’t have to log in again.

If you leave a comment: You can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This makes it easier to comment again later. These cookies last for a year.

  • The amount of time spent on specific pages.

Web log files are stored indefinitely and used to manage the site. This information is only accessible to authorized persons.

If you don’t accept cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly for you.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on our site may include embedded content like videos, images, or articles. This content behaves as if you visited the other website directly. These websites might collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you’re logged in to that website.
